Air Talk was a Yoko Ono appreciation group open to all that met weekly on Fridays, 12pm-1pm, in the Tang Museum exhibition We the People.
Part participatory art collective, part art history class and part fan club, Air Talk explored Yoko Ono's vast oeuvre. Together, the group discussed her work, shared books and albums, listened to her music, watched performances and collaboratively performed a number of her instruction pieces.
Air Talk created a large-scale drawing in response to an instruction piece Ono gave the group: On line: It's a map of your brain. The drawing was exhibited in Text as Art at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, New York from 16 March to 21 April 2013, where visitors were invited to add to the drawing.
The group also curated Elevator Music 23: Yoko Ono: Listen, an exhibition devoted to Ono's work in sound at the Tang Museum.
