To talk to you transforms old familial and found objects into a reflection on time, memory, and intergenerational relationships.​​ The work explores the ways in which objects become receptacles for memory and specifically for remembering those who are no longer in our lives.

 

Photographs of my grandmother in her twenties which I first saw in my twenties shortly after her death appear in a glass jar of milk and reflected off a mirror in the suitcase. The piece explores my personal relationship with my grandmother, legacies of intergenerational trauma, and the questions and stories that went unspoken when I was a child but that I wish I could speak with her about now as an adult.​
