An Echo, A Haunting
A Score for Redacted Voices

Sunday, June 14, 2026, 7.30pm-8.30pm

Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth St, Jamaica Plain, MA

An Echo, A Haunting is a free live performance by Boston-based interdisciplinary artist Megan Hyde and upstate NY-based musician Elizabeth Karp.

Featuring live music and recorded sound, movement, and handmade objects, the performance explores the distortions of memory, language, and reality through what remains: the music of Yoko Ono. Central to the work is a 30-foot-long silkscreened scroll that transforms a series of personal redacted emails from fourteen years ago into both a costume and musical score.

An Echo, A Haunting is presented at the Jamaica Plain community arts space Spontaneous Celebrations. It is supported by a grant from the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston.
