Mini Picture Show
2019
workshop for ages 7-15

Mini Picture Show was a two-hour workshop I ran for to ages 7-15 as part of the school holiday program delivered by the University of Western Australia. The workshop explored modes of storytelling and design through a fun, hands-on, and analogue form of moving images.
Participants used recycled cardboard boxes, bamboo skewers, craft supplies, paper, paint, and markers to create their own, hand-cranked miniature moving pictures, or crankies. For the workshop, I guided participants through the development of their own short stories and the construction and design of their crankies.
